Mothers Day
Tom and I drove down to Larch Cottage nurseries this morning for a wonder around the garden and a coffee. The private garden and chapel will be open this afternoon, but we managed an early, quick quiet preview, so tranquil.
There were no scones left so I had to have a piece of walnut and caramel tart, it was such a same......
We had a prosecco run on the way back and I collected some flowers for Chris when I go and see her tomorrow. It made me smile to see all those men/boys buying up all the flowers/plants/bouquets.
I had a card from Lottie, Toria is in the post and Will send me a message ( I am honoured).
We popped over to see Toms mum afternoon. My mums in Spain, and I'm missing her. Tom spoilt me with a roast dinner.
I'm a lucky lady to have my three children and my mum, I read this poem on FB this morning, it made me think...for many, mothers day isn't that easy.
Thinking of you Poem: credit to Mari Andrews
Mothers who have lost children
Those who have lost mothers
Those with strained mother relationships
Those with strained child relationships
Those who have chosen not to be mothers
Those yearning to be mothers
