Banged up!

This morning I played for chapel, as it was Mothering Sunday I received a bunch of flowers and there was tea and cake afterwards.

In the afternoon I went on a tour of Shrewsbury Prison which was closed in 2013.The tour was led by an ex prison officer and was very interesting. From what he told us I can't imagine anyone wanting to do that job! 

We looked round the cells and landings then went into the execution room from when the UK had capital punishment (extra photo). We went in with a "Mothers go free" offer so it was a bargain.

Afterwards we went to the local carvery for a meal. I had a "Mums go free" voucher so we had a bargain meal too. A good day as well as being good for the purse!
