There is some light but not much in the sky

Back to work was actually not as tricky as I had expected. For some reason the first thing I checked this morning was the Giants score, yes they are through to the world series playoffs. How can someone with no affinity to a team get so caught up in a sport thousands of miles away. Answers on a postcard please.
