La Garonne.
This week's theme is movement/stillness. The Garonne has lots of periods of stillness and movement, sometimes rushing in, other times rushing out, and when you catch it in the middle, it looks quite still. Tonight was one of those times, and also the town was quite quiet too. It's been a while that I've walked the dog along the river, because he's been behaving weirdly for a few weeks, but I've been re-training him and it seems to be working. He behaved impeccably today and it was pure joy to walk with him around this beautiful city.
I'm currently on a mission to tackle my spectacular (dis)ability to procrastinate. And somehow, although I don't feel I tried *much* harder than usual today, I managed to get loads done - a full day's work, bit of food shopping in the morning, wholesome lunch, arranged to see a friend, made a delicious dinner (pumpkin, bacon and camembert pasta - sounds like a strange mix but tastes like a DREAM), lovely walk with the dog, came home and made apple crumble, played on blip, and am about to get to sleep at a decent time. It's amazing how getting stuff done affects my mood positively. Will try to ensure that tomorrow is just as successful.
