A welcome present!!

This was one of my Mother’s Day presents which I received yesterday.

It might seem a strange gift, but this big beast of the skies featured large in my early married life in the ‘70’s. We lived at the end of the runway and there was no way it could take to the skies without everyone being aware. I just loved it for its grace, elegance and power.

On the 5th July my name will recorded on a commerative plaque on the underside of XH558’s delta wing.
