Rhuddlan Castle

It rained what seemed like all night as I slept fitfully to the sound of it hammering down on 'Matilda's' roof and it most definitely rained for most of the day too so all thoughts of flying were scuppered. We took a trip into Rhyl to a large Sainsburys store to pick up some gluten free items and drove on to admire the ruins of the former very grand Rhuddlan Castle which looked even more imposing on this grey and very wet day - even Jacky looked fed up and dejected by the weather.

We had a cosy evening in 'Matilda' with other happy campers who brought food and wine which made a very fine feast; rather late to bed though!
