Next big snow with icicles
Take a look at the previous blip to see all the snow melted and long icicles forming... and then... overnight the next big snow arrived. Actually it started right on time as the weather people predicted: 5 p.m. Monday evening. We will watch to see they are correctly predicting the end of this latest deep, wet snow at 5 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The icicles are still growing. The longest is nearly 4 feet long.
I always view these heavy wet snows in mid-March as the last ones of the season. A kind of 'gift' from St. Patrick since they appear around his feast day.
Beautiful sticky snow... I do not plan going out anywhere although the road in front of my house is clear.
