Snow Day

I seem to have got out of the Blip habit. Today is the 13th March and I haven't Blipped since the 1st. Even for me that's pretty tardy!!
Here goes.....

Miss E's school succumbed to the bad weather today and both the Little Misses had a snow day. Much as I whinged about Miss L's school being a bit pathetic in the light dusting of snow we had yesterday I was relieved not to have to go out in it today. 
I stayed in bed while the Little Misses entertained themselves and then Miss A came round after lunch. She and Miss E disappeared off upstairs doing whatever it is they do and Miss L and I did some baking.
She followed a recipe in the book she brought at her school Bring and Buy sale the other day and, oh my goodness, they were delicious!!! Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and jam inside. Yummy!!!!
Once they were cooked Miss E and Miss A came down to do some baking themselves. They are more fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants bakers and threw together a load of ingredients and cooked them. They covered the resulting mess cake with blue icing and then ate it and pretended it was delicious.
