This is what happens .....

..... if you don't pay your road tax!  Clamping first then the car is towed away to the 'pound' where it stays for a month before the next steps.

When I went to collect the dogs this morning I couldn't get my car anywhere near the house. Not one, but two vehicle removal units were parked in the road outside M's house. Only one car was being removed but it took two guys to hook it up.  They told me that they tow away about a dozen cars every day.

Needless to say I stood and watched till both vehicles with two cars on each set off on their second journey of the day to the 'pound'.
