Longevity

These Crocus malyi were raised from seed sown in 1992.   26 years on they are one of the most senior members of my collection.  Over the years the number of flowering corms has waxed and waned but they've outlived the vast majority of their counterparts.

Jamie's NHS wheelchair was returned to him today after adjustments to make it less 'tippy' - following his little accident in January.  It's now hugely better (a couple of other minor modifications were done too) so we made a trip into the city where he shopped for clothes while I went to the bank.  Later I managed an hour on the allotment and fixed the second trellis panel in the garden.  Now somewhat achy, a hot bath beckons.
