FLOOD warning!!
It has rained heavily, with terrific gales, all day.
Rooks' nests have come crashing to the ground. Trees and roof slates too.
At 6.00pm the view from bennetts bridge shows the river Nore is full and fast. The (invaluable) early warning system from upstream predicts she'll "be over" (ie she'll break her banks) at Bennettsbridge at 11.00pm.
It's 9.30 pm as I write this, and up stream still hasn't peaked, so it could be an all-nighter for some.
If you're interested, our house is not visible but is at 3 o'clock from this view, directly to your right, across the field.
(Here is a blip, from our house, of the bridge, on a sunnier day.
