Rack and ruin
Not the Welsh Chichen Itza - only the remains of roadstone hoppers on Porthgain harbour. At first the harbour shipped slate from nearby quarries, then bricks made on site, and finally roadstone improbably made from dolerite. The tall brick hoppers were used to grade the stone and hold it for loading into ships that came into the deep natural harbour.
The extra shows my companions on this glorious early spring day - one local, two from Texas.
