We left a pair of ski boot at our apartment in Italy and after many many emails and phone calls they finally agreed to send them back. Initially they insisted on storing the boots for us to pick them up next time we were passing by. They charged us 50 Euros !!! for shipping them to our friend in Germany (sending them to Switzerland would probably be far more expensive).  

Coffee with a friend and meeting her two lovely dogs was the best bit of this epic ski boot story.
