Flower Friday . . . Colchicums

I had never seen these flowers before I moved here.  They multiply very easily and my neighbour Ann has them throughout her garden.  The flowers bloom before the foliage and are eye catching on delicate white stems.  They are not an autumn crocus as I thought but are related to the lily family.  I came home yesterday with my own supply of these to transplant.  This morning the flowers are upright so I expect they will grow on and I'll see the green leaves develop.  Ann also gave me some Paeony tubers which is very exciting as they didn't grow for me in Rotorua.
