Place names
It owes its name to the old latifundio where the station is based, thanks to the donation or cession made by the Gorostiaga family. These extensions of land were owned by Mrs. Bernarda Frías de Gorostiaga, and after her failure, property falls on her children. The site where the railway station was installed became the property of Ms. Elisa Gorostiaga de Solveyra, lands that also include the actual surface occupied by the town, and a segment of the railway line. Upon the death of Elisa Gorostiaga de Solveyra, the lands are sold and sold. The name of the town had been Villa Santa Elisa, although the denomination of the railway station prevailed in the time, that at the same time is in the memory of the related historical family in the chivilcoyano floor from half-full of century XIX.
