St Matthews in the City
I had to spend today gathering pieces of paper for the accountant. Doing that involved a fast trip to the beach house (where my filing cabinet is). Finished it all in time for a quick bike ride into the city centre. On the way back, I paused in Aotea Square, where I had the thought of photographing the statue of an ex-mayor of the city. As I was deciding against it, I noticed the tower of St Matthews seemingly surrounded by cranes. (The cranes are some distance behind the church). The church was built without the modern cranes which assist in constructing very tall buildings.
