Cast in bronze
This is hanging upside down and placed under an archway in the village in memory of all the men who have died on the battle field.
The arch is opposite the cafe blipped recently, John and I called in again yesterday for a ‘cafe coretto’ a miniscule black coffee laced with brandy, the waitress here is lovely and happy to chat in English. Last night a friend of our host called round to say goodbye to L and arrived with 4 pizzas. Another lively evening, we will miss L when she leaves us to head off to America to work for a few weeks. She is a flight attendant for American Airways, based on Philadelphia she can visit her mum there frequently and enjoy life in Italy. She is some woman.
We are here for about 4 weeks, L will probably return in two weeks for a day or so, she’s not sure about her schedule for April, and we can go off for a day or two, I’m thinking about a trip around the Adriatic to Croatia.
My apologies for not commenting in recent weeks, we are now on our own and hope to get into a normal way of living in the next couple days. The cats are wonderful, real little sweethearts and will no doubt appear on bf.
