DIY Planter
We didn't do badly at the quiz, but not good enough for any winnings, winners scored 112 of114! We enjoyed a lovely Indian meal beforehand too. We were quite late to bed and up at sparrows again this morning for the joiner.....hubs been Mr Grumpy all day, not had his quota of 8 hours ;-)
Rainy morning, and cold too, luckily we had already decided to drive into town as there were a few heavy things we wanted to collect from Aldi, namely a big tub of chicken pellets for the garden. We called in the café for coffee.....and lunch, very predictable us. Lovely tomato and red pepper soup, with a toastie for me, hub treated himself to egg and bacon on toast.
Ive spent the afternoon sorting out our diary, booked tickets to see War House in May, as well as Miss Saigon. Fixed up our postponed trip to see hubs sis in Southampton, proposed a couple of dates to catch up with friends, typed a letter for hub to send out to our ex work colleagues for this years lunches and have been enticed by some late sunshine out into the garden looking for todays blip.
As its Friday, in support of Bikerbears flower challenge, Ive opted to share the planter I made up last week, that now sits proudly beside our front door.....I'm rather chuffed with how its turned out.
The bedroom is not far off finished now, the joiner has just informed us he wants to work a half day tomorrow, so no lie in for us.....hub is distraught ;-D It is looking really nice I'm pleased to say. Monday will be the last day.
We are having chicken wrapped in bacon skewers with red onion and fresh pineapple, cooked on the griddle, with salad & coleslaw, for dinner this evening, yum!
Think we will be having an early night tonight..........
