Artist on the Beach
It's been a non-stop day today, albeit in a good way. I swam in the outdoor pool again this morning rather than going to the aqua class as my ankle was aching, and I didn't think it wise to start jumping around in the pool. I then picked Alison up and we went to Molly's at the beach for a drink where we saw this artist painting on the beach.
I asked him if he minded me taking his photo, which he didn't, and it's only just now that I've noticed his website Artist on the Hill, so I've had a look and he's been commissioned by Prince William in the past and drives the Brighton Life Boat - quite an interesting guy. His paintings look very good too!
At lunch time I went into town to meet Tannie as it was her birthday on Monday, so the hot chocolates were on me, except Tannie had an Apple & Cinnamon tea. We had a nice hour before she had to go back to work and I got sidetracked into M&S where they had a sale on and I managed to find two tops :-)
Next stop was the supermarket where I did a quick trolley dash, and my last port of call was to see Elif. There's still no sign of the baby making an appearance and the poor girl is huge and so out of breath, hopefully it won't be too long!
Home to unload the shopping and then Alan and I sat in the Palace for an hour before I batch cooked for the boys while making a curry for us. It's now 9.40pm and I need to go and pack as we're heading to France early tomorrow morning for the weekend. We did contemplate cancelling our trip due to the snow that was forecast, but looking at it, we don't think it's going to be too bad here, and there's very little forecast in France, so we're going. The hotel is already paid for and we wouldn't get our money back if we cancelled, and at the worst, if we can't get back we'll just have to stay a bit longer - I can think of worse places to be ;-)
Anyway, I'd better get on, have a great weekend and I'll catch up with you when I can.
