Day 10 - Memories of Childhood


Himself doesn’t have many amazing memories of childhood that he brought with him to share with us ; but he did have one lasting memory, which stuck with him and which inspired him to take us all on adventure.

His parents once read an advert in The Sunday Post telling of an amazing remote island in Scotland...and took him and his siblings off on an adventure.

And then 30 years later he remembered.

He found it again and we enquired and then we headed off on an adventure.

We stayed in exactly the same house they stayed in.

And we still had no electricity. There were still no cars; there were still little metal boats to sail round the island on. No Tv. No neighbours, fish, otters, seals, porpoises...

It was heaven.

And himself got a whole set of new happy Memories to keep
