Preschooling

14th March 2018:

At the moment we support 58 preschools, mainly by holding workshops and doing training in co-operation with the Department of Social Care.
If communities decide to build a school then we assist with metal sheets for the roof. The rest they can manage themselves

We have two amazingly creative and inventive preschool teachers who deliver training in the most weird and wonderful locations.  They are invited to assist from the poorest to the most expensive, as expertise and experience in this area is at a premium, and Miriam and Margaret are the best.

VISIT AT LIMBIKANI PRESCHOOL ( CBO)
DATE:  14/O3/2018
PLACE:  ZOLOZOLO
NUMBER:  85
TEACHERS:  2
INTRODUCTION: This preschool stated in  2012 by the CBO members who decided to open up a preschool because in this area there was none, so the children  were staying at home until they were 6. They were waiting to reach primary school age to start primary.
According to the chairperson of the CBO the children were failing to pick up quickly at school, because they were not used to the school environment. This was stopping their educational development. The preschool now is helping a lot to this area. We are getting to work hand in hand with the caregivers to assist them with some activities done in other preschool centers.
ACTIVITIES ON THIS DAY
Demonstrating lesson with children and caregivers, so that the caregivers can have a picture on  how it is going and to encourage to use local materials if no access to some materials. songs and dancing, storytelling … children telling story, teacher to children, then story from the book.
REMARKS
They were very thankful to have us, and said we should visit again to play with children. And also sharing ideas with them.
Happy caregivers!! And children
