45,000 miles, 7 boats, 8 months. So the statistics read for this race (l presume the 45,000 miles is all boats added together). The theme of the race is stop the plastics in the oceans. These 7 boats have been in Auckland for several weeks now and leave for the next leg - the southern seas, tomorrow at 2pm. In the meantime, it also being St. Patrick's day, the city is buzzing.
