Hamster Housing

Well, Nico and Andy's children have finally completely grown up and left home. In fact, they left Nico a week or so ago and we separated the boys and girls into two groups, but now they all have their own homes, thanks to a successful bit of ebay bidding!

So, today I set all these homes up for them - all with wheels and little houses! Three of them are staying here, and two have new homes lined up for them, to which they'll be moving in the next couple of weeks.

Those who are staying are: Lou Reed (boy), who will be living in our bedroom for the time being, and is the one the Wonderspouse chose, and Sandbach (boy) & Keele (girl) who are coming to live with me in my study!

Of course, these babies weren't planned for, and I'm sure there will be some who would say that the last thing we actually needed was to have five baby hamsters to look after. However, they're an utter delight, and so cute and lovely that they've actually been five little wonders in our life and really given us a lift in what has been a very tough year!

The only thing I have to do now is move them all off our bed - or we'll have nowhere to sleep tonight!
