Not my rainbow

Ripley had a vet appointment today.  When I made the appointment I feared it might be his last.

I've not been well this week and neither has Roo but Ripley had been doing OK. 

I managed to keep my anxiety levels under control all day until it came to the time when we needed to head to the vet and I got a lump in my throat despite telling myself it wasn't his time yet.

As we drove to the vet the Dido song 'White Flag' came on the radio and a rainbow appeared in the sky.  An omen?

Not today, the vet agreed that whilst his condition is slowly worsening, it is not his time yet.

I have to reassess in 2-3 weeks time when he his due to have an annual booster ahead of a kennel stay.
