The Full Irish

in The Martello at 9am this morning.

The restaurant was full of English people over for the weekend and looking forward to watching the rugby over here. They were in great form.

There were lads drinking pints of stout at 9.30am - the rugby pundits were on the 4 massive tellys - the excitement is palpable. The barriers are going up down Strand Road for the parade, the carnival is pumping disco, dogwalkers, joggers, the coffee shops are packed, it’s freezing cold, there’s a gale blowing, sleety showers (and snow was mentioned)
