Loch Rusky

is less than 2miles from my front door, just off the A81 north of the Lake of Menteith. I've lived in Callander for 26 years and have never been to it although in a past life I used to drive past it twice a day on my way to and from work.

The sign on the gate says 'no fishing' not 'no entry' so today I decided to chance my luck. I'm glad I did. I cannot believe this beautiful, peaceful, isolated spot is on my doorstep.

I will be back.
