He looks to The Future
Of course, I struggled with whether or not to post this image of Joe crying. From a strictly photographic point of view it could have been focussed better, the light is interesting but the depth of field isn't up to much. But its a powerful image and raises questions (it did in our house) An image of a child, obviously upset, is uncomfortable to view. Particularly as a parent.
From my point of view, as Joe's mum, the image comes from a conversation that I want to remember. As this is my journal, I've chosen to document it.
Whilst lying watching 'The Great British Bake Off Extra!' He asked me if, when he's a man, will me and Opendoor turn into a granny and grandad. I said yes, to which he turned and replied that he would really miss us and began crying.
Made me feel so many things. I don't need to write them down.
The image was taken after consoling, cuddling and reassurance. And after the tears had stopped. He's ok! Really...
