Après-ski goggles are an essential piece of equipment of every serious skier: they (a) protect you from that vicious radation you will get flooded with when laying in a deck chair in front of the skiing hut next to the piste, (b) hide your inebriation that's unavoidably building up during the late afternoon, and (c) ensure that your face will end up with a healthy raccoon suntan.

The wider known (common) ski goggles are a less exciting variety.
