For those wondering if I'm back to my old schedule of caregiving and visiting with my mom . . . yes! I just keep forgetting to take the camera. I'm sorry I didn't have it today because my mother was sporting a  Thumbelina-sized St.Patrick's day hat and looking very pleased with herself. Of my return after 7 weeks, she said, "Oh, did you take a trip? For two days?"

So for my photo I took this one of Longshanks on the forest path behind our house. The lovely light is new, a consequence of the "forest thinning" they did last summer. Through the wreckage, dedicated walkers have recreated a trail complete with cairns and ribbons to mark the way.
