Four Seasons

Many people in Japan will, in an unsolicited manner, inform you that Japan has four seasons.  What some of them mean to say is that Japan has a distinct Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter as opposed to somewhere closer to the equator.  Others are suffering from some kind of nationalistic lunacy that has them convinced that Japan is the only country in the world with four seasons, in fact Japan invented seasons.
Others are referring to this estate agent who has found a unique tax avoidance loophole which necessitates employing a shrubbery with full paid benefits.

At my last count Japan has, in the Kanto region at least:
Rainy season, Flasher season, Changing of the uniform season, Hay fever season, Aaaargh my eyeballs are melting humid season and Catchy ear worm in-store jingle season which lasts for the entire year.
