March Madness

The big annual cosplay event in Nipponbashi took place today. I love this event! Here are last year's photos. For me, this event is just great, escapist fun, but many Japanese people consider it subversive and somewhat perverse. True, it does attract some rather sinister men who sometimes take unpleasant liberties with the artists, but that is not inherent in the event itself. I hope I have managed to capture the playful fun of the event in this selection of photos.
