Gluggavedur

Discovered this Icelandic word today via Twitter. It means weather that is nice to look at through the window but not so nice to be out in. Literally it means 'window weather'.
Like snow, for instance, which although nowhere near as bad as last time is still doing a good job of completely covering our cars. Hope it clears up by tomorrow as the forecasts seem to be saying, as we have to drive up to Castle Bromwich again for a showdown on Tuesday between the father-in-law and the dementia consultant.
