Sick day

She’s had a day off school today. She said her tummy was really hurty, rejected food and was generally feeling sorry for herself. Even when I told her that staying off would mean work with mama, she was ok with that. So I took that as a sign she really did need the time with me. Her tummy eased reasonably quickly but I still felt I did the right thing letting her stay- she never asks to be off school unless something is wrong. And feeling in need of mama is a something that I’m willing, in reason, to accept as an ok problem. In the scheme of things, I consider addressing that as important as school.

I let her go to dance and band even though she’d been off and she was flagging in between the two. She snuggled in my arms to sleep
