Blue Peg, Aylesford

If it was possible to be colder than yesterday then it certainly was. An early morning (curtailed) run made me believe so - I had four layers on and gloves and I was still absolutely frozen. After that it was time for a hot bath just to get the chill off my bones. This was followed by a quick trip to the Marks and Sparks up the road to get some food for tomorrow night's meal - I'm making smoked haddock risotto with parmesan and a poached egg.
Now, we don't do this very often, but today I managed to get me, my brother, my sister, my Dad and his wife all together at the same time for a Sunday lunch at a local restaurant. It was so nice to eat out and just have a nice relaxing time. The added bonus is not having to cook an evening meal - I'll probably just have a quick snack instead.
Today's shot is a bit of a "democratic way of seeing" as per Mr.Eggleston - it's the peg basket in our back garden with a very appropriate blue peg sticking up out of the snow cover. It looked strangely fragile and beautiful to me.
