two ann(e)s for the price of one
One of the things I've missed at home by being away is our village's huge annual event for Fairtrade Fortnight - the Big Brew. This is where over 20 stallholders sell fairly-traded and locally-produced goods, with soups, Fairtrade tea, coffee and baking. Always a good day out.
To make up for it, I attended a Fairtrade Feast today in Uckfield. Two courses plus coffee for £8. As usual at these events, there was a hardworking team of people working away behind the scenes. I caught up with two of them enjoying a short well-earned break. Both are called Ann (one with an 'e').
I always think that if you want to buy Fairtrade products, bananas are an easy one to start with. HERE'S a short clip about the difference it makes to farmers.
Thank you, Ann(e)s!
