Day one

Today saw us travel the first leg towards our new adventure in Rotterdam.  We took the train from Edinburgh to York, where we are staying overnight.  We were oringinally to be catching a further train to Hull and catching the ferry to Rotterdam tonight. Due to works on the trainline between York and Hull, no services are running this weekend, so we are sailing tomorrow instead. Probably just as well with the wind here tonight. Anyway, we found that the Novotel York accepts our feline friends, so we thought we would still travel here today to break up the journey for Heidi-cat. She was so good on the train down and has made herself quite at home in the hotel room. We'll see how tomorrow night's boat trip prevails but in the meantime, she's acting quite the Princess.
