Scales Tarn

Choosing a very bad day to climb Blencathra, me and Jen were faced by a wall of heavy mist as we reached Scales Tarn. It was really strange and claustrophobic. The mist was really dense and when we got further up the mountain we couldn't see more than 3 ft in front of us. It was really quite spooky, too; the tarn was perfectly still and everything was silent. The rocks on the mountain looked eerie in the mist, almost like people sitting hunched over.
