Have been struggling in muddy fields with my mother's very short old walking stick.

Realised I really can't manage without a decent looking correct length walking stick. (Left one in Barcelona). So last week sent off for two.
One is a real success and accompanied me to Rennes. The second - supposed to stand up alone - arrived without a vital small part.
