Grating mewling and happy times
Whining is something incredibly difficult to deal with mentally. I would take sleep deprivation over it any day! We have been in Dubai 3 months now (Our baby is 3 months and two days old so easy to remember).
Oscar has been settled and back to his happy self for a few weeks now :-)
I have noticed a huge 'improvement' with Bailee over the last couple of weeks. There have been more and more moments where her rainbow eyes come out to shine and of side-splitting, uncontrollable giggles! The whining continues but is decreasing at a steady rate....
About a month ago she had the 'hurt foot' accident and didn't walk for two weeks exactly. Today she brushed her leg against the couch and suddenly was unable to walk yet again. It was very dramatic.... the facials, vocals and physical reaction. Because of a recent 'pretending hurt foot' incident I was a little reluctant to believe it was that bad. After lot's of cuddles and talking she was still unable to walk and the whining continued for a good 45 mins with the odd short contrasting and sudden silence when she was distracted. I prodded her leg and foot and there was no reaction to any particular spot.
I asked her to use her words to tell me what was wrong and what she would like. I took deep breaths as the whining was grating away at the happy morning we'd had together. I just sat there for her not really knowing where to go from here.
Oscar was ready for the beach and I decided I would take him for some fresh air. It was really hard for me to tell Bailee she would have to stay, and I knew I would take her anyway whatever happened but my gut was telling me this was an act of attention.
So we were almost out the door to go and Bailee stood up and walked casually to the buggy. We set off on our merry way and as you can see in the photo all had a wonderful time at the beach. Love my children!
