Statice flower

We have had some more heavy gusts of wind today. We drove to the capital this morning and the wind was doing it’s best to blow us over. We went in search of the “granite man” as we are thinking of replacing our kitchen worktop and some of the appliances. We had an interesting walk which was all uphill and eventually found the aladin’s Cave and Steptoe like yard. We selected a granite and were given a small sample to take home. He is coming to measure up next week. This I think is a statice flower which is used in dry flower arrangements, it’s been howling outside again.
