Matakawau Point
Descent over the Manukau Harbour as we approach Auckland.
The aircraft today was an Airbus 320 as usual, but configured for the Pacific short haul international runs. So we had movies to watch - not that one needs much entertainment for a flight time of just over one hour.
I'm pleased to report that as I walked up the driveway at home the tuis were still feasting on the totara berries, and the juvenile with the unusual neck feathers that I blipped on 7th March was amongst them. It doesn't look much different from 2 weeks ago. I'm looking forward to see what happens as he/she matures.
