World water day.....

Its quite incredible that for the last few months we have had a tremendous amount of rain and flooding across Zambia, and yet for the last two weeks I have only had water coming out of my taps on 2 days!  As you can imagine this is quite a challenge...storing buckets all over the place, never knowing if water is going to come on or not!  So wherever you are in the world, I hope you have water coming out of your taps on this world water day!!

In line with this and the cholera that we had in Lusaka this year, I was coming home from a school this morning and on the road where I live I found a guy slashing grass (cutting the grass with a slasher).  As he was sending grass all over the road, there were many plastic bottles and other kinds of rubbish being strewn all over the road, and it was obvious he was not going to pick it up!  So, I asked the guy who helps me at home if he would assist me to pick up the litter and we collected a full black bag full!  Unfortunately by this time next week, it will probably be as bad!
