Whitby Harbour

The sun came out just as we were returning to the car. It was still cold though with a wind blowing in from the North East. The days been quite changeable but with much more cloud than sun.

We drove down the coast, bought ourselves a present in the Sandsend Gallery and then drove onto Whitby where we tried fish and chips from the Magpie (for the first time in my life) they are quite famous - all I can say is they were tasteless and a big waste of money - I ended up wishing I'd never made the suggestion.

We now have the fire lit and it's getting toasty warm in here. We pack for home tomorrow - there's snow forecast for the top of the North York Moors - time will tell!
