Birdie

Lovely sunny day here. Hendricks and I went for a walk at Portgordon, and I took my Sigma 600mm mirror lens thinking I might get a few shots of the seals.

The seals declined to do anything cute, but along by the harbour there were a few interesting looking birds. The big lens is fully manual with tiny depth of field, and focusing accurately (and shooting hand held) while holding a lead with a joyful lurcher on the end of it proved a little...challenging! This is one of the few sharp shots I got. I think it's a starling...?
