I'd Rather Go Blind

O-1.   Today, wr were due to have carpet fitted on the stairs and landing.  We got up early to take up the old carpet.  It's been down since the house was built in the 60's.   I went out with the dog while Gary lifted it as the backing has turned to powder and I've got a chest which is sensitive to dust.   

We wondered what time the fitters would come so we could plan the rest of the day.  We called up the shop and the guy said they were just loading the van and would call us back.   He didn't.   We called back and he said 'err, we've got a bit of a problem'.   Not what you need to hear when you're all geared up for it, furniture all over the place and an operation in less than 24 hours.  Gary was really unhappy about it and went to the shop, I asked him not to go all 'Swanley' on them.  Luckily, the shop was shut!  

We've been looking at some G-Plan furniture online and decided to go to a second hand shop where weve seen some jn the past, to keep my mind occupied as much as anything.  We didn't find any furniture but we found this fabric which will make a great Roman blind and cushion cover.
