Simnel Cakes

Terry's daughter likes to bake. She's had a new kitchen fitted recently so the weekly cake supply stopped for a while but production has now recommenced.

I am not keen on almond flavoring so could resist the mini simnel cakes at teatime.

Thursday's volunteer, Sarah, was entertaining today. She is ditsy at the best of times. She supervises a food activity every week and today's creation was a chocolate and banana bread and butter pud. However, between them they forgot the eggs and sugar for the custard! Somehow the dessert was rescued. and turned out rather deliciously.
