Lion King
The annual yr 6 trip to the Lion King was today and I was lucky enough to be offered a place on the trip. It consisted of a walk around London, lunch in St. James's Park, seats in the stalls for the matinée and then a walk around backstage. What was lovely was to watch Carys in her element. She couldn't ask enough questions about the staging of the show, even getting taken back on stage to have something demonstrated to her to answer a question. She was slightly affronted to find that the other group had spoken to Scar, but decided as she spoke to lots of ballet dancers she was happy to have had more time looking at how things were done backstage.
All in all a lovely day and one that made me realize more than ever that my daughter's future may lie in the theatre.
