Play Ball

The 90th Spring High School Baseball Tournament at Koshien Stadium commenced today so I went to see the opening ceremony - see the extra - and the first game. Shizuoka Seiko Gakuin beat Toko-Dai Fukuoka. Both teams played extremely well. The opening ball was a first base hit; that's the main blip. By the fifth inning both teams had three points and it remained that way until Seiko Gakuin scored two more points in the eighth inning. It looked as if Fukuoka might equalise at the bottom of the ninth as they had two men on base with one man out, but then Seiko got two men out with one ball to end the game.
