Foraging for edible plants

Our daughter went away this morning for a week long business trip to China so we had to pick up the children from school for their usual Friday night sleepover.  J as usual is unfazed by the change as he is allowed on the computer for an hour after school from 4.30.  E on the other hand is more sensitive and is a bit upset.  When in this frame of mind she flits from one activity to another, I think testing the boundaries of our patience.  Her mum left her a new note book with a fluffy rabbit as a cover, so straight away she decided she would embark on a new project of gathering edible plants from the glen behind the house.  Granddad is always roped into her projects.  There is now a strong smell of wild garlic in the house
