Breakfast in Burnsall

These lovely flowers were on the tables at dinner last night and on our breakfast table this morning at the Devonshire Fell Hotel up above Burnsall.

We had a super dinner and the hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The same at breakfast this morning.

It was a bit drizzly this morning but there was some brightness as we set off. We were given a free pass for parking at any of the Devonshire Estate car parks which is quite a bonus as they now charge £10. You also get a discount at any of the estate shops or cafes so we decided to take advantage and park in the Bolton Abbey Village car park and walk down past the priory.  As it was fine by this time we did the circuit above the river down to the Cavendish Pavillion and back. About three and a half miles.

It was on the road then and we are now in Bristol for the weekend!
